The state of the roads in our electorate are disgraceful. As mail contractors, we drive on the roads 5 days a week undertaking this service and are constantly needing to make repairs to our vehicles, suspension, windscreens, shocks, etc etc. The major roads of concern are Coralville Rd, Long Point Rd, Juhles Mountain Rd and Waitui Rd. These roads are graded but are not repaired so that after one rainy period, the road is as bad as it was before grading. The roads are dangerous. Why are the roads not fixed and how much money does it cost the council / RTA to constantly fix the same issues over and over as opposed to resurfacing the road?
