John's River is ably served by the Greater Taree City Council, and we continue to work closely with Councillor Dr. David Keegan and Director of Planning, Mr. Graham Gardner, and more recently with Greg Blaze, Council's top engineering type.
Those attending the recent Johns River Expo may have run into our now-Mayor Paul Hogan, along with Councillor David West.
From Lansdowne, Mayor Hogan also chaired the recent community meeting at Moorland, along with new Councillors David Keegan, Catherine Bell and now-Deputy Mayor, Mal Marks.
GM Gerard Jose and Director of Planning Graham Gardner and his fine staff of Strategic Planners continue to provide their kind, expert and enthusiastic support.
The JRCPA hopes to keep the useful liaison function of the Post-Bypass Committee with Council, the RTA and our community going strong. As appeared in all the local papers (Port, Taree & Laurieton), the JRCPA has extended it’s thanks to former councillor Richard Wilson for his fine service, and we hope to have his continued support and experience in the near future!
The Post-Bypass Committee combines the engineering knowledge of the RTA and Council with our own Johns River Community Progress Association delegates to coordinate planning and urban design issues for the village centre.
