Your New Johns River Addresses PDF Print E-mail
Planning: Greater Taree City Council
Sunday, 09 January 2011 20:51

Johns River residents must be aware that they should update their addresses at the earliest convenience, and especially prior to the upcoming state election.

Mail will be delayed or in some cases, returned to the sender in the near future according to Australia Post, who are sending out letters in late January to residents to prompt them to finish their addressing. For those who fail to make the change, this may mean bills not being received and council notices not being delivered!

To Update Your Address:

To update your new Johns River Road or Stewarts River Road address with your billers, you can either call their customer service numbers, or use their online forms to update your address.  You must get confirmation from them  in writing (or a bill correctly addressed), otherwise, you need to call them again to follow up.

To update your address with the Australian Electoral Commission, just click here and fill out the online form. This should be done well before the March 26th state election. You can verify your current address on the electoral rolls also.

The RTA should be notified also, so that any mail from the RTA will be recieved by you.

When in doubt, do call the biller, government office, or bank to make sure they have the right details.  While you might be on hold for a while in some cases, the pain of doing that is MUCH less than missing a bill or rates or tax notice!

If you have had any experiences with changing/updating your address, let us know in the comments below!
